Music/Dance in Adventist Schools and Universities
Are you aware of what takes place where you are sending your children? This Flash Mob in 2011 at Southern University shows one such event, a convocation - complete with a dancing Chinese dragon, lots of students dancing to the music (Oh Happiness by David Crowder), and Gordon Bietz (president of SAU) with hair dyed blue. This was a planned event. Students don't just "plugin" to the school sound system during a convocation and do something like this unplanned. Flash Mob events are always planned & choreographed ahead of time.
David Crowder Band was a six-piece Christian rock and modern worship band from Waco, Texas. Their final album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian and No. 2 on the Billboard 200 charts. Wikipedia

If I profess to be a servant of Jesus Christ, should I follow a worldly standard, and have my course of action such as to meet the demands of the world? or should I take for my example Him who was a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief,--Him who so pitied a fallen race that he laid aside his kingly robe, left the royal courts of heaven, and came down to this world of pollution and sin, and took upon himself the form of man, and for our sakes became poor, that we through his poverty might be made rich? What shall we do? take for our example Him who was mocked and abused, who was the light of the world, though the world knew him not? or shall we follow after the pattern of the world? RH, January 4, 1887 par. 13

Talent Show 2011
La Sierra University has what they call Tuesday Tunes where students can gather to listen to others play music. This song is titled "The way you make me feel" by Michael Jackson which repeatedly uses the lyrics "you really turn me on". Why does the administration of LSU allow worldly music at a student function? Why? Could it be becuase leadership lacks discernment between the Godly and the ungodly. The golden calf is in plain view and many seem unable to see it.
Below is dancing to OK Go's A Million Ways. The lyrics include:
You're a million ways to be cruel"
"A list of standard issue regrets
One last eighty proof, slouchin' in the corner booth
Baby, it's as good as it gets"
The following statement is from LSU's website http://www.lasierra.edu/index.php?id=260
"Our community is rooted in the Christian gospel and Seventh-day Adventist values and ideals."

Below is the LSU Talent Show performance of "In the Words of Satan" performed by Intricate Movement group inside the La Sierra University Church. The Original song is by The Arrows and the official song+lyrics can be seen here. This is supposed to be a song by Satan to the world.
LSU Church@noon 4-28-2012 I wonder how many people were attending and calmly standing in the audience, like the guy in on the left side of the video, who felt out of place while the rest of the school rocks out. What a shame our school leadership allows and supports this. We should all pray that this guy and others don't leave the church or give in and "go with the flow". What a shame this SDA church at LSU has wondered after the world.
It's seems that most of La Sierra University talent shows, etc. boil down to mostly worldly dance and/or music entertainment. Seems they define "talent" and "music" by the standards of the world. Did you notice the performances are being done in either a chapel or church? Is this how LSU defines Christian education? We're losing our young people, and yet it seems they are being driven to the world by some of our schools. Where are the watchmen that will cry and sigh after the abominations? Where does the local conference, local union, NAD or even General Confernce leadership stand on all that's going on at this Seventh-day Adventist university. If they remain silent, then their silence condones what is taking place. LSU also has or has had teachers (biology, religious, etc.) that believe and teach 1.) that same-sex loving relationships are acceptable to God and that SDA's should accept that, and 2) long-term theistic evolution is the best explanation for life on this planet. More of this information can be found by listening the the Faithfull Watchmen presentation. If you know parents sending their children to LSU you need to inform them of what all goes on there.
Talent Show 2013. What we want you to see is how SDA colleges/universities are, over a period of years, bringing in worldliness. These type of events have been and are still continuing. SDA's need to wake up and speak out about this. School leadership needs an overhaul!
Skip to about 2 min. into this video. This nonsense is not Christian. Start calling and telling the College you will not support them if they continue to do these things.
"Do yall believe in rock and roll?..." "There's gonna be a whole lot of shakin' goin on..."
Which is worse: an SDA school allowing this or Baal worship? Who will be held more accountable? The SDA Church for allowing this or people that don't know/profess to be Christians? No wonder the world comments on the hypocrisy of "Christians"
skip to about 4 min. or 6 min.
They get started with the rap/rock about 3:35 min. Guy acts demonic. Just who is responsible for this garbage? Someone should be fired for allowing this.

Talent show 2011 - Dance Duet - (a medley of worldy songs)
Again, the same type of worldly music and dance is allowed at PUC. Our concern should be with the leadership who allow such things at a Seventh-day Adventist colleges and universities.
Battle of the Bands 2013 from ASWWU - this has been occuring for the past few years. WWU is seriously out of control with the worldiness in its Student Association. But who's going to stand up and put a stop to all the worldiness it's allowing? Who? leaders should but will they? Parents of students should do something, but do they even know what all is going on at WWU? Most likely not. This is a disgrace and someone should be held accountable. This does NOT represent God's true church.

Battle of the Bands 2011 - Here we see the students "rocking out" to the tune of Bad Romance by Lady Gaga as well as many other rock &rap songs. Need I say more?
The July 2012 issue of the Gleaner online has an article about WWU you can read here, that mentions the Battle of the Bands, a service project organized by the Associated Students of Walla Walla University (ASWWU). See page 39. Thus there is a firm connection with the video you see below and WWU. Why is WWU allowing these types of hard rock concerts from the ASWWU? 2011 was the 3rd year ASWWU has had the Battle of the Bands. Take a look at what the Gleaner says. "Students voted with their cash for their favorite band at The Battle of the Bands event, during which five student bands competed for an encore." Also, ask yourself, "Why is the North Pacific Union Conference even publishing about them?" Read the article on WWU website about this here

"I'm in a Church". This is a parady of the song "I'm on a Boat". The original song has lots of vulgar "F word" lyrics. Notice Adventist Pastor Paddy McCoy participates in the video. Pastor Paddy and the staff of this university lack Christian discernment in allowing these studdent to pattern after the world. This is very sacreligious. Is there no one watching and caring what goes on in God's house?
Another rock/rap (Can't Hold Us) video with Pastor Paddy McCoy participating at 2:41. Again the sactuary is used during a rap song around 2:51-2:57. Around 2:30 Ellen White is refered to as "EGg White".
"It is not God's will that we should seclude ourselves from the world. But while in the world we should sanctify ourselves to God. We should not pattern after the world. We are to be in the world as a corrective influence, as salt that retains its savor. Among an unholy, impure, idolatrous generation we are to be pure and holy, showing that the grace of Christ has power to restore in man the divine likeness. We are to exert a saving influence upon these in the world." Signs of the Times, September 26, 1900 par. 12
"11. Exercising great care in the choice of music, shunning any melody
partaking of the nature of jazz, rock, or related hybrid forms, or any language
expressing foolish or trivial sentiments."
Adapted from the Seventh-day Adventist Church Manual, 1986 revision, pp. 141-151. How many of our leaders even believe this?
Next is "a series of 1,787 images placed together in rapid successions to show what documenting the Walla Walla University Engineers Without Borders 2009 Hope for Honduras Battle of the Bands benefit concert was like." WWU advertised this Battle of the Bands on this webpage on their offical website.

This academy has allowed pure worldliness. Is this where you want your children to get a "Christian" education? Are they still doing this now? Maybe, maybe not. You need to learn to ask many questions about ANY Adventist school you send you're children to BEFORE they go there.
Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies
On June 19, 2012 some Indonesian students of AIIAS are dancing in a cultural program. This is how we bring in heathen dance and term it being "culturally relevant". To the kingdom of God, it's gospel and mission, this is culturally irrelevant! Only thing missing is a Baal idol. What a shame and tragedy our leaders are allowing these things in so many schools.
