Quotes from the God's Promise presentation

"All His promises are made upon condition of faith and obedience, and failure to comply with His commandments cuts off the fulfillment to us of the rich provisions of the Sciptures." Patriarchs & Prophets p. 621

"When the Jewish people rejected Christ, the Prince of life, He took from them the kingdom of God and gave it unto the Gentiles. God will continue to work on this principle. ... When a church proves unfaithful to the word of the Lord, whatever their position may be, however high and sacred their calling, the Lord can no longer work with them. Others are then chosen..." 14 Manuscript Release p. 102

"The sins and iniquities of rebellious Israel are recorded and the picture presented before us as a warning that if we imitate their example of transgression and depart from God we shall fall as surely as did they. 1 Testimonies p. 609

"A sin-hating God calls upon those who profess to keep His law to depart from all iniquity. Neglect to repent and obey His word will bring as serious consequences upon God's people today as did the same sin upon ancient Israel." 4 Testimonies p. 166, 167

"In the balances of the sanctuary the Seventh-day Adventist church is to be weighed. She will be judged by the privileges and advantages that she has had. If her spiritual experience does not correspond to the advantages that Christ. at infinite cost, has bestowed upon her, if the blessings confered have not qualified her to do the work entrusted to her, on her will be pronounced the sentence: 'Found wanting.' By the light bestowed, the opportunities given, will she be judged." 8 Testimonies p. 247

Glendale SDA Church LBGT friendly

For many years the Glendale SDA church has been known this way.

“At our church, LGBT churchgoers are affirmed and allowed to participate,” says Pastor Lind. “You will feel welcome and protected by the congregation. Above all, we hope you will sense the presence of God in our service.” The article by frontiersla.com should make us realize that the world is watching and taking note on what we are doing. SDA's seem to be dead asleep as to what is happening in the church and/or to busy to make a voice to leadership.

Collegedale Voted to Give Family Benefits to Same-Sex Couples

"On Monday, August 5, the City Commission of Collegedale, Tennessee, home of Southern Adventist University and arguably one of the most iconic and traditional of Seventh-day Adventist communities, passed Resolution 447 by a vote of 4 to 1, giving family benefits to same-sex couples." Read the article here.

What is significant in this article is "Two of the four votes in favor of the resolution came from long-time Adventist residents of Collegedale, both of whom have been heads of departments and academic administrators at Southern Adventist University.  A third commissioner who voted “yes” is married to a current professor at Southern."

Steve Moran - Why I Am a Pro-Gay Seventh-day Adventist

This Oct 6 2010 article in Spectrum magazine is by Steve Moran. At that time he was the head elder of his church and a member of the Central California Conference Executive Committee.

"Exactly how the church should respond to the gay “dilemma” is something about which I am terribly conflicted. I trust Scripture, which seems to condemn homosexual behavior and, yet, even there it seems to be condemned in the context of licentious, hedonistic circumstances"

Should any man that "straddles the fence" be on the Central California Conference Executive Committe? We seem to have a lot of SDAs in this "dilemma" now in 2013. Where are the men that can take a clear stance on this topic?

"The greatest want of the world is the want of men,--men who will not be bought or sold; men who in their inmost souls are true and honest; men who do not fear to call sin by its right name; men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole; men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall." Education, p. 57. (1903)

Vallejo Drive Church of Seventh-day Adventists (VDC)

This 1,300 member church located across the street from Glendale Adventist Medical Center in Glendale, California, showed a 99 minute documentary titled “For the Bible Tells Me So” at its Friday evening vespers service. VDC senior pastor Mike Kim confirmed he authorized the documentary.

"The documentary, made in 2007 by filmmaker Daniel Karslake, argues that homosexuality is genetic, that homosexuals cannot re-orient their attraction, that therapy designed to help same-sex attracted people live a heterosexual lifestyle is essentially abusive, that Christians have misunderstood the Bible when they have read it as condemning homosexual conduct, and that continuing to hold and propound the view that homosexual conduct is sinful is “spiritual violence.”" Read more here.

PUC and others are showing this film too. As an enlightened people, SDAs are repeating the history of Israel and will suffer greater consequences. Leadership must wake up or its fate will be worse that that of the world. Those in other Divisions must reighn in the behavior of the NAD before its too late.

The following comment is interesting. The same thing could happen to SDA churches if things continue the way they are now.

"The Episcopal Church was already in decline, but the decision to consecrate an openly homosexual bishop has, by all accounts, only accelerated that decline. Churches that have tried to leave the ECUSA have usually found that they cannot take their buildings with them. In the past few years, there have been scores of lawsuits over church property, and although the denomination usually wins these struggles—in 2012 alone, the ECUSA spent over $18 million suing its own congregations—at the end of the day the buildings lie fallow and empty."

North Pacific Union Gleaner

In the October issue of the Glener, the birth of two children to a couple from the MeadowGlade WA SDA Church is listed. Seems pretty normal, but the couple listed is two women.

Here is the Gleaner posting.

Walla Walla University - Students for Equality is on Facebook.

Is Walla Walla University in support of LBGTQ's? If not then they need to legally make Facebook remove it. However, one of our staff recently wrote several of the key leaders of the school concerning this and not one of them has responded.

"Today we will be meeting our fellow LGBTQ members at Whitman college. If you would like to come it is at 7pm in the GAC." April 11, 2013

Notice they post about things like:
"Gay marriage law passes crucial vote in France" or
"BREAKING NEWS: A large majority in the British House of Commons on Tuesday voted to support a bill that would legalize same-sex marriage. " or
"Gay Wedding Was A Trial For The Reformed Church "

They also post the following video where gays talk about how they have grown up, etc.. At around 11 min. into the video the older man reveals he now lives with another man and is happy and sees a future.... After 12 min. the young woman says "its so much better to be gay" They are admitting that practicing a gay livestyle is OK. Why would WWU allow the ASWWU to post such when it is direct oppostion to church beliefs? Teaching our students that practicing the gay lifestyle is OK WILL change the future of the SDA Church. Please contact WWU and protest the ASWWU posting this video on its Facebook page.

other events as though they are good things, but those things are against what the SDA church believes. Is WWU in support of it? Just where is this group heading?

Here's a blog talking about this problem at WWU.

We will remove this information when Walla Walla University makes Facebook remove the account since it uses the name Walla Walla University.

Here's a video telling about how faculty is involved in ASWWU (0:12-0:30) as well as how ASWWU involved spritually at the university (see 1:40-2:00)

Pacific Union College - has GSA/GASP at school

Read about it in their student association Campus Chronicle publication.

The Seventh-Day Adventist Church has created the "The Intercollegiate Adventist GSA Coalition (IAGC) exists to support Gay and Straight Alliance (GSA) groups at Adventist colleges across North America." The question is: "where are some of these heading?"

May 24, 2012: The 10th Annual Religious Liberty Dinner was sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs, John Baird spoke at this dinner. He has a long history of taking a hard-line stance in defense of same-sex marriage, homosexuality, and for gay rights around the world. In 2006, Baird voted against reopening the issue on the legality of Same-Sex marriage in Canada which currently favors gays and lesbians.

Notice what the Adventist News Network said about his speech. "Minister John Baird touched on Canada's commitment to promoting human rights through its foreign policy." (ANN, May 29, 2012, At Religious Liberty Dinner, Canada Foreign Minister Promotes "Bedrock" Human Rights, by Bettina Krause)

Why are SDA leaders bringing in this type of government speaker? He is not a man of our faith and has beliefs contrary to the Bible. Is this the best that leaders can find for speaking? "The question may be asked, Are we to have no union whatever with the world? The word of the Lord is to be our guide. Any connection with infidels and unbelievers that would identify us with them, is forfibben by the Word. We are to come out from among them, and be separate. In no case are we to link ourselves with them in their plans of work." Gospel Workers p. 394

"The church must show that she does not sanction their deeds, or she herself will dishonor her Lord. She must say about sin what God says about it. She must deal with it as God directs, and her action is ratified by heaven." Gospel Workers p 502

The Criminal Code of Canada

Sections 318, 319, and 320 of the Code forbid hate propaganda.[3] "Hate propaganda" means "any writing, sign or visible representation that advocates or promotes genocide or the communication of which by any person would constitute an offence under section 319." Section 318 prescribes imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years for anyone who advocates genocide. The Code defines genocide as the destruction of an "identifiable group." The Code defines an "identifiable group" as "any section of the public distinguished by colour, race, religion, ethnic origin or sexual orientation." Section 319 prescribes penalties from a fine to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years for anyone who incites hatred against any identifiable group. Section 320 allows a judge to confiscate publications which appear to be hate propaganda. Under section 319, an accused is not guilty: (a) if he establishes that the statements communicated were true; (b) if, in good faith, the person expressed or attempted to establish by an argument an opinion on a religious subject or an opinion based on a belief in a religious text; (c) if the statements were relevant to any subject of public interest, the discussion of which was for the public benefit, and if on reasonable grounds he believed them to be true; or (d) if, in good faith, he intended to point out, for the purpose of removal, matters producing or tending to produce feelings of hatred toward an identifiable group in Canada. see wikipedia

See the Presentations webpage and watch the two part series: 1. God's Promise to the SDA Church and 2. Faithful Watchmen

The Faithful Watchmen presentation talks about La Sierra University professors that teach, publish, promote that same sex loving relationships are acceptable to God and that we as SDAs should accept it.
